In recent years, funds from the Page-Barbour endowment have been allotted to sponsor a number of interdisciplinary intiatives at the University. Past intiatives have included The Intimacy Lectures series, an art exhibition and museum practicum on the work of Jacob Lawrence, and a symposium on politics and contemporary media entitled "Seeing Beyond the Partisan Divide".
